Knowing These 6 Secrets Will Make Your Soccer Goals Look Amazing

Once you purchase and install full size soccer goals on your pitch, do not mistake forgetting to maintain and adequately your soccer goal. Incorrect attention to existing soccer goals could lead to critical cracks in safety. So be careful while purchasing soccer goals.

1. Yearly Preservations

What kind of yearly maintenance should we do on my soccer goal?

Analyze the unit once a year for any loose hardware, and tighten as necessary. Change any missing or damaged hardware as needed. Check the structure properly for damage to any metal parts and repair or replace if needed.

Net are particularly susceptible to damage due to children climbing on them. If you have a portable soccer goal, analyze the wheels to confirm that they are in proper working condition or not.

2. How should I care for my soccer goals?

It is a question that we get regularly because quality soccer goals are not inexpensive. Here we dive into the key things you should do to keep your soccer goals in great shape.

3. Appropriate Assembled

It all starts here. Goals are assembled; without taking care of the manufacturer's specifications, not just risk breaking or wearing out earlier. But they could also be a safety risk to players.

Always follow the manufacturer's assembly instructions to the detail, and tighten nuts and bolts to certain settings. Over-tightening can lead to stripping of the hardware, although under-tightening can lead to loosely fitting hardware.

It is especially; cheap because loosely fitting hardware is jostled around when the goal is moved or struck with a soccer ball and will drastically speed up the wear of your goal and may lead to a break or injury to a player.

As a concern, we recommend using a torque wrench when tightening hardware to your goal. It may cost a few extra bucks to buy one, but it could save you a bundle in the future. Using the torque wrench takes the guesswork out of the assembly. It assures you don't overt-tighten or under-tighten any of your hardware.

4. Off-Season Storage

The reality is regulation soccer goals may still last you six or seven years even when stored outside. If you have access to an indoor storage space for your soccer goals, you should count yourself as successful. The huge majority of goals spend the off-season on the field. By the way, the best way to keep your goals in the off-season is to store them inside (temperature control is a big bonus).

5. Remove the Nets

Soccer goal nets are made to stand up to a significant amount of stress but will eventually wear out. The average life of soccer net is around two years. Balls striking it, kids climbing on it, exposure to the sun, rain, snow, temperature fluctuations, and wind all contribute to your net wearing out. No net will stay forever, but you can more than increase the life of your nets by removing them during long periods of non-use of nets.

6. Annually Check-Up and Maintenance

It's always a good rule of thumb to check all your goals on an annual basis to make sure they are up to extinguished. It takes time to refinish any areas that are showing rust by sanding down the affected area and coating with touch-up paint. Don't miss this annual opportunity to make necessary repairs and replace several worn nets to keep all your goals safely and in top working condition. You won't regret it.
